Like Looking In The Mirror
When the "Gilmore Girls" first hit the screen, all of my family and friends commented on how they were the epitome of the life my daughter and I were living. The openness, the sharing and communication between Rory and Lorelai show us how they are family members yet best friends. This an excellent tool for moms everywhere. Single yet managing. They stand united through it all even when they beg to differ. A must have for an DVD collector.

Re-livng the 60s
2 of 2 found this helpful I was a young teen in the sixties, so when this movie came out I had several good reasons for wanting to see it. First, I wanted to see John Travolta as a female, goodness I was not disappointed. Secondly, I wanted to revisit that era and see what the directors and writers had captured again; I was not disappointed. And lastly I just wanted to smile and related to the cast. This movie makes you smile, reminds you of the struggles this [our culture] have gone through both in segregation and de-segregation, and it simply shows us how sometimes music and dance can eradicate the invisible lines dividing us. I enjoyed this movie on so many levels and was able to share this with a 9 year old boy I care for so now he also understands the issues the movie touched on. For there was more than one type a racism in this movie ... and they were all handled very nicely.

To escape
1 of 1 found this helpful I decided to purchase this game after a medical ailment left me a little unfocused, for lack of a better word. The writing for someone that just entered her 50s is large enough to not have to strain, the games within challenge you on many levels. I particularly like the Sudoku puzzles. The best part is, however, that the 9 year old that I babysit also gets to enjoy and sharpen his thinking and math skills. In all a great family game, when you consider the violence out there this is a welcome relieve .....kudos to Nintendo.
