My connection
I found out I knew Frank Goldsmith, a Titanic survivor who had a photo shop in my hometown of Mansfield, Ohio. I bought a brownie 8 mm movie camera and projector from him, as well as film. Sadly, I only found out that he survived the disaster as a 9 year old, twenty years later.. Since I knew him I researched how he had survived and bought a rare book he had written about his activities on the ship and what became of one of the other boys he was with. The friend had just turned 16 the night before and was considered an adult and no longer had to wear short pants (knickers). When Frank and his mom got onto the last lifeboat, the crew tried to get his friend to get on because of his short size. He refused saying, "I am not a child", and went down with the ship!

golf display by swimming pool or inside in game room
My son is an avid golfer and this makes a nice display, which I plan to put on a pedestal. It will look good either inside during the winter and outside in the summer.
