Channeling Marlowe
Felix Gomez, Vampire Detective, explores the porn industry in L.A. looking for answers to the murder of Roxy Bronze. Gomez seems to be modeled on Chandler's Philip Marlowe: the dry wit, the lack of fear, getting people to talk. The book is funny, my only complaint is that the Spanish/Spanglish/Vato terminology is immediately translated which is distracting, the reader could figure out the meaning through the context if it was necessary--it isn't.

After all these years, I still love this movie and now I understand some of the jokes that I didn't even know were there when I was 16!

1 of 1 found this helpful Great CD but I am confused why the Tangerine Dream song isn't included--it's supposed to be the film's theme song. But woo--Lunatic Fringe!
