Lucky this was not the case!

They came in great condition
Both books gave incredible insight into not just comics but all forms of visual arts and I highly recommend them.

Didn't know John Lasetter worked on the movie before reading the book
Makes sense in retrospect, also the background concept art and character art is really insightful.
