A masterpiece of twentieth century literature. Spawned countless imitators but no equals. Huxley and Orwell over do the horrors. Zamyatin's characters are believable human souls trapped in a paradigm of brainwashing and propaganda. Zamyatin even manages to provide moments of bleak comedy. A true classic.
