My Brother Loved Snowflakes by Mary Bahl Fritts
It was a pleasure to find a biography on a young child's level to give us some background on W. A. Bentley whose work is published on snowflakes. Children are so facinated by snowflakes, and so it was a pleasure to read about this man to our grandchildren. The illustrations were clear and appropriate. It was not an all inclusive biography, but it was very age appropriate. I recommend this book highly.

The First Thanksgiving by Linda Hayward
I was really disappointed in this book. It did not take advantage of the history that really lead up to that first Thanksgiving nor did it really show how much their faith was involved in getting them through that first winter. As far as the reading level, it was very good. I also anticipated more authentic background and characters.
If I had seen this book before, I would not have purchased it.

Snow Crystals
This is one fantastic work on the intricacies and designs of snow crystals. There is only one thing that I would like to see and that is for some snow crystals to be enlarged so that you can see even clearer the design of the crystal. It is an excellent work for children to be able to comprehend the complex world of God's creation.
