Superb story; an excellent production

This is a great story about family dynamlcs -- good and bad -- and the relationships between friends. If you want to examine YOUR family values, you will have lots to think about by watching The Great Santini. Robert Duvall presents a superb portrayal of Meachum.

Campbell at his best

Glen Campbell's shows off his great pipes on these recordings -- a warm, mature sound The orchestration on "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress" makes that song a gem, and is alone worth the price of the collection. This is not a collection of Webb's greatest compositions, and I am not a fan of the 'country-sound' piano playing on some of the tracks.
