Iomega Zip 750 MB USB 2.0 External Drive Z750USB 30846400 w/ Cable & AC Adapter

Confirmed Windows 10 compatibility; no extra software needed.
Worked without issue in WIndows 10 version 21h1 with no driver installation prompt. I read mixed reviews of Zip drives and W10 but this was a truly plug-and-play experience for me. When powered on and connected to a Windows PC, nothing happens until a disk is inserted into the drive. Windows asks to set the default behavior of the drive, as with any removable media. Read speeds varied from bursts of nearly 2MB/s to a few dozen KB/s, average about 800KB/s. Since Zip disks are low-capacity media, this was not a major issue. I did not test writes to Zip disks, only reads for data retrieval. Used this drive to retrieve almost 2GB of data from roughly 2 dozen Zip disks, some dating to 1996. Most disks read and copied over without issue. A significant fraction had some amount of data loss (on roughly 25% of disks tested), but that's likely a problem with the old disks and not the drive. Only one disk was completely unreadable, but this did not prevent data retrieval from other disks. Was able to retrieve intact data from disks with some unreadable files. BEWARE: I have read that some disks with the "click of death" can damage the read heads in the drive itself. This did not happen during my usage. When Windows encounters a corrupted or unreadable file during transfer, the read speed will drop to 0KB/s and it will stall for up to two minutes before giving a prompt to Retry/Skip/Cancel. Skipping the bad files will allow Windows to keep transferring the readable ones.
