Great midrange performance micro camera
I bought this camera to replace my agin 3.2meg A410. This is an awesome camera, I'm so glad to see that it still has the instant power on feature I'm used to. Most people complain about the mode selector ring saying it's touch sensitivity is iffy. But here's a secret; it's not touch sensitive. It is however pressure sensitive just like the shutter release button which has 2 stages. If you consider the navigation ring to have pressure sensitive areas on the NSEW point, then all you have to do is move your thumb around in a circle making sure to hit those 4 points and you will get it right everytime. Picture quality is very very good and I like the way the camera compensates for low indoor lighting even when using the flash, to create a well lit room. The lack of viewfinder is a moot point to me as I never use them, but I love the huge screen at the back which is very bright and sharp. All in all this is a pretty good camera to have, and remember, more mega pixels does not mean more quality.

My sojourn into the world of Android
After 4 years with my HTC Hermes, I decided it was time to try something new, and having had the opportunity to play with a few Android phones, I decided the Tattoo would suit me best. It's one of the smallest Android phones on the market today, along with the HTC Wildfire and Sony X10 mini, but cheaper than both. I have no qualms with the resistive screen, nor the QVGA resolution (which is what allows the phone to be smaller). The phone has a nice weight to it, and in your palm it feels like you're holding a smooth, rounded rock. Build quality is top notch as always. The covers all line up and fit very nicely, and this is very good considering the fact that all three pieces can be removed leaving the just the bare phone chassis. Getting the battery cover off can be a bit difficult, but there is a trick to it which is illustrated in the manual. I like the fact that is has more hardware keys, alternative navigational keys are always useful. Compared to the low end Windows Mobile phones by HTC, the Tattoo really shines in speed and performance. The only area which is not up to par (for me) is the fixed focus camera, which makes using the barcode scanner a trying experience. The Market compatibility is apparently limited but I get most of my applications from other sources. Speed and response of the phone is top notch, and the G sensor is a boon for landscape typing. And on the subject of typing, the qwerty keyboard in landscape is delightful, and for portrait I use the phone keypad in XT9 mode (something I've become quite adept at from over 10 years of mobile phone usage). Gmail, Facebook, and Flickr integration is great, allowing me to keep up with my friends' activities without having to log into a computer. Twitter access broke recently, but that's because of Android 1.6 and not a short coming of the phone itself. And it's because of Android 1.6 the phone receives 4/5; HTC will not any time soon release a 2.1 update, they have made it clear the Wildfire is their new QVGA favourite. However it has been proven by several individuals the phone can indeed run the new flavours of Android. The small size of the phone makes it very pocket friendly, even shirt breast pocket, which is something I missed out on during my time with the HTC Hermes (literally half a brick). The ability to make custom covers sanctioned by HTC made my giggle like a silly school girl because I absolutely love customizing my gear, and have already ordered a set of personalized covers for the phone. This is a two fold victory to the user, seeing as that if you do damage the housing, you can easily order yourself a new set of covers without fear of buying faked stuff. All in all, this is a phone for those who are looking to foray into the world of all things Android without having to break the bank.

Beginner or audiophile, this minimalist Sansa is for you.
I bought the Clip+ to replace my aged and dying Sansa C250. And I bought this particular colour and capacity simply because it was the cheapest deal I could find. The first thing I did was load Rockbox onto it, and hence why I have given features 3/5. The OF is useless, and I especially don't care for the refresh that happens after I load/remove songs, which takes quite a while with a 16GB memory card installed. Now that I've got the bad points out of the way, I shall focus on what makes this player shine. Sound Quality under Rockbox. Compared to the old C250 (also running Rockbox), this thing is light years ahead, and with some very slight EQ tweaks it sounds better than my Zune 120. My Clip+ is partnered with a pair of JVC FXT90s, and together they are a very formidable combination. I have also installed a Sandisk Class 4 16GB microsd card, and Rockbox, as earlier mentioned. The unit is very responsive, not showing lag anywhere in the menus or when loading songs. Battery life has actually improved with Rockbox, I normally recharge it every other day. The player shines in portability, something the C250 lacked; the clip feature is wonderful, especially when I wear my athletic gear, I just clip it to the inside of my shorts and forget its there. Do NOT let the size of the display put you off from buying this unit. It maybe small, but the OLED display is extremely sharp and responsive and does not cause fatigue in your eyes. And finally, the controls are easy to use, even for someone with big fingers like me (I have trouble typing on the iphone sometimes), you will know exactly which button you're pressing.
