Thomastik AC111 Plectrum Acoustic Guitar Strings Set Light 11-50 AC-111

Beautiful tone and fantastic playability
I love these strings. They have a beautiful tone, and, with lower tension, are far more playable than standard strings. I was a bit concerned that the lower tension would reduce the richness of the tone, but that isn't the case. I don't know how they square that circle. I don't know, yet, how long they last, but even if their life is relatively short I would still prefer them.
May be helpful to add, I use these 11-50 playing fingerstyle on a Furch OM with long scale length. I've found regular 11-52s too hard on my fingers, and regular 10-50s lacking in tone.

Check that it's the right one
My mistake, really. This is only a 3 pin. I needed a 4 pin. I didn't realise that the switchcraft endpin jacks drew this distinction. Also, this looks a bit wider than usual to me. There is some variation - I think fishman are generall 12.5 mm while lr baggs may be 13 mm, but this looked a bit fatter again. I didn't use it, though, so am not 100% sure. Quality looks good. I guess you need to be more careful than I was and make sure this is what you're looking for.

Playable and resonant
Great strings. I find the low tension makes my long scale length OM very playable, and they sound far better than super light gauge regular strings. On this occasion I just bought a single string to replace one that I damaged. It fitted in fine, despite the others being a few months old. I protect them with Dr Duck's string lube and they last ages.
