So good, I have 6 of them
Simply put, I love this dashcam.
It looks great, is super simple to use, and the video, day or night, is just superior.
I love the fact that the Wifi is always active, so you don't have to do anything special, just open the app, connect it, and bingo, it's done. You can download videos or pictures you've taken in an instant. Videos take about 4x the length of the video in time to download, which isn't bad. So, if a 20 second video, it's 80 seconds or so to download.
Not sure why, but the videos don't like Youtube, but Google's Pictures works fine, then share the link. If you upload directly to Facebook, quality is diminished a bit, but still completely ok.
The app is beautiful, just make sure you go landscape mode before you think it doesn't work.
Clips are 20 seconds each, but can be made much longer if you want. 20 seconds does tend to be plenty though for most situations.
No need to use the 2k, 1080 is plenty of perfection. Night or day, the videos are stunning. Audio is also excellent.
Mounting on windshield high up, right by or right behind rear view mirror works great.
Minimal LED lighting on the bottom, so it's not totally obvious or attention attracting. The LED's are not huge, in fact, they're very small, but perfectly sized. They are also not incredibly bright, but perfect for their function. I have another dashcam that has 4 Led's and they are 10x the size and can be seen from quite a distance. Because the M6's face down, they're hardly noticable at all, even at night.
So far, very reliable. You can take just the camera head right off the mount, too, if you don't like leaving it in car. It's magnetic, so it pops right off and connects back super easy.
You can mount them on a vertical window and have it at the proper angle, I have one mounted on the back window of my truck, shooting directly out through tinted window and it's perfect. It's high up on driver's corner and still gets plenty of viewing angle to see pretty much anything I'd need to see.
I do wish they'd rotate more, say something happened on the side of you or is about to, I wish you could turn the camera, but you can't. There's a little bit rotation allowed, but not more than maybe 10 degrees.
One of my M6's saved me in a fender bender, I uploaded to Google, shared link with insurance agent, and that was that, found not to be at fault and there's no disputing the evidence of a video. Well worth the investment.
