very accurate
I am an elementary teacher and a mathophobe (I make it a rule to never teach above 3rd grade math:) I have used this book with parents and kids alike. There are lots of handy tips for parents such as a list of words you may find in story problems and how to teach the kids which operation to use based on the vocabulary. When my own children have probems with their homework, I encourage them to find the answer themselves in this handy book. We have used it from 4th grade thru most 8th grade math problems. It's easy for the kids to navigate thru and the problems are explained in a simple,seqential, easy to understand manner. I highly recommend it.
