Brilliant and battery friendly
I decided to go LED as it seemed the way to go. Apart from being amazingly bright, the batteries that had been in the torch forever and had begun to dim badly with the existing Krypto Globe, when I tested the LED replacement no new batteries were needed. Result, a fantastically bright Maglite, AND a spare set of 4 D cell batteries that I may not need for some time. Thanks guys.

You CAN get compatible quality without paying the earth,look, it's there.
2 of 3 found this helpful Why did I buy this Speedlight?, the need for a flash to go with my new Canon EOS 7D. When I found the YongNuo Speedlight YN-560 for Canon, its features and the price prompted me to buy 3, thus taking care of side and background lighting as well. I have yet to road test this system as there is a lot to learn considering the many features that make this accessory a must have. The purist in me at the time said;"it's a Canon camera so get a Canon Speedlight" but, I was able t get THREE Canon compatible Speedlight units for less than half the price, and without compromising on quality. Go figure. Happy snapping
