Brateck Professional Microphone Boom Arm Stand

Cheaper than the high tier, sturdy and good cable management

Picked this up for my RODE NT-USB microphone and it works perfectly. The stand attached effortlessly to my desk and is more sturdy than I thought it was going to be. It has a solid attaching clamp, or for permanent mounting a changeable bolt and wing nut to secure it. The arm itself can be detached which is both good and bad as I can't figure out any way to tighten the arm itself so it doesn't freely spin, meaning that if the mount isn't horizontal the weight of the arm and mic will cause it to move around with gravity. I had to use a piece of electrical tape around the attachment lug to stop it moving around every time I touched it. The cable management is good, three little clips and a sunken section for your cable works as advertised to keep any cabling out of the way. Overall very happy with the purchase, it comes with both threads for common microphones which worked great with my RODE mic, at half the cost of the PSA-1.
