2 of 2 found this helpful The pandemic's impact on the factories that make these necks has been seen in their rising prices, but they're still one of the better bargains out there for a hobbyist luthier on a budget. The fret work is good, the nut cut a little high but that just gives you more personal control of the final action. The only consistent problem is the shape of the neck heel, since one or both is usually poorly rounded off, often almost square, but that's an easy fix with a flat rasp and some sandpaper. Speaking of sandpaper, the thin sealer coat comes off easily with a little elbow grease, allowing for a proper oil finish to draw out any hidden gems of chatoyance in the fine maple. Good color on the rosewood under oil, too. (This product is the bottom-most in the picture.)
