A look into the opinions of Shane Warne
Everyone knows that Warney is a character who really made everyone believe that even if you're a sleazy bastard, you could still be a successful cricketer! He epitomised the idea of 'down-to-earth cricketer' and it is reflected in the players that make the 100. He clearly explains the reasons for his selections, and doesn't shy away from telling that he had some differences with fellow teammates. However, I would've preferred if he had trimmed the list to 50, so that he could've had a more detailed look at the players that would make the list. The small descriptions, especially of players like Curtly Ambrose, Steve Waugh and Adam Gilchrist really leaves an empty feeling and makes you wish that more was written about them. Overall, a great book to read!

Power through uniqueness!
The Moto Rokr E8 doesn't have a spec's sheet like, say, the Nokia 5800, where you would react like "Wow dude, I'd better get this phone immediately!". Instead, I feel that the USP of this phone is the touch sensitive keypad. When you use the phone, it feels like a normal keypad, but you realise that something is up when the phone is switched off. During such a situation, when you press the place where the keypad was, nothing goes down, as it should, which shows that the feeling that you get when you press the button is actually a small vibration which is sent to the particular key as soon as you press it. The best part about the phone is when you switch to music or camera mode. When you turn on the music player, the alphanumeric keys disappear and, in their place, comes the play/pause, next track, previous track, shuffle and repeat buttons. In the case of the camera mode, zoom in, zoom out, video and gallery buttons come. The Omega wheel is not as sensitive as many specialist mobile reviewers make it out to be, but has just the perfect balance. The speakers aren't much to shout about, but the location of it is quite poor, situated at the bottom of the back of the handset, which means that listening to music while holding the phone with your hand is out of the question. The SongID feature, similar to TrackID in SE Walkman series phones, is a cool feature which was able to detect a Tamil song which was released nearly 40 years ago! The internet is just as expected, EDGE speed, which is definitely much slower when compared to 3G or 3.5G speeds, so if you are seriously into surfing the net on your phone, this one might not make the cut. For music lovers, the music player isn't really much, but the presence of a 3.5mm headset jack just emphasises the fact that it is solely a music phone and that the presence of a camera is just for formalities sake and, if you want crystal clear pictures, this camera doesn't really live upto it. In conclusion, this phone isn't something that you should buy if you want a phone which has all the features at a decent price. In fact, it is quite expensive if you look solely at the specs sheet. However, if you are the type who loves nothing better than trying out something out-of-the-ordinary, then the E8 is the phone you should be looking at. Though I do have a Nokia 5800 on the way, I don't plan to sell my E8 because the unqiueness of the phone is worth keeping it just in case I ever get bored with the 5800! :)
