NEW DLink - DIR-890L - AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Router from Bing Lee
24 February 2017
Boost! Boost! Boost!
I am really really satisfied with this product. · Big box, but the size of the router is not that big, great design, really satisfied with it. · I am currently with Optus NBN 100m service, but the previous downloading speed in my location is just around 4mb/s when I used the Optus's gift router in the starter kit. First of all, one thing needs to be keep in mind is that "A good router doesn't increase your Internet speed", it is a quite general statement (maybe misleading) but basically it means if you are not satisfied with your downloading speed when you signed a 10M service, no router will make the speed as fast as a 50M speed pack. However, it DOES maximise the efficiency of your Internet service. After using it, my downloading speed literally boosts to around 11mb/s, and that's almost three times faster than when I was with the old Optus router. Depending on the location, you could be even faster than this. But for me, this is enough. · Compatibility? YES, it is compatible with NBN, and actually it is beyond compatible. My old Optus router only works in the garage under the NBN box, and it didnt work when I try to connect it inside the house, probably because of the setting issues (and the Optus tech person basically knows nothing, dont rely on them). When this router arrived, I give it a try inside the house and it works perfectly, no extra setting actions need to be done. Want to change the password? Easy, follow the manual and go online, just several clicks. · Value? Well I bought it when the 20%off discount hit, so personally I would say fairly cheap.
