Great sound quality and lots of features from this practise amp
I bought this to practice at home and explore quite a few effects without getting out of my depth in complex settings. After a few days getting to know it I think I have bought the right thing.
The first impression was this this unit is surprisingly small and light - but it is solidly built, the power especially bass tones, seem more than you would expect from 'that little box'.
I can't yet say exactly how well the effects work - Im still exploring them, but that's the reason I bought the thing.
Compared to other amps I have owned and competitive products on the market this seems very good value. I would just have liked at least some written handbook to get me started. No doubt Fender has some good stuff on the web and I'll look there next.

Almost as good as my Strat - for about a third of the price!
I had a well-loved but under-used Fender American Standard Strat. When someone offered me a good price I sold it - to concentrate on my electric acoustic. Then, of course I missed the Strat so I bought this Pacifica 112V as a budget replacement. I was a bit concerned that it would feel a big step-down - but it doesn't feel like that at all!
The Pacifica is a bit lighter and visually of course its similar to a Strat. To me the shape of the body and the headstock are a bit less refined than on the Strat - I can imagine fewer processes are needed in manufacture. But otherwise it looks and feels great, the overall finish, fingerboard, the tone and volume controls etc have a really quality look and feel.
My main concern was the feel of the neck but I love the shape and smooth satin finish on the Pacifica - it feels fast! I have quite small hands (glove size 8) and if you have big hands then maybe this neck is a bit too slim? Maybe not - I can't say. It came with super-light strings (9s?) I have fitted 10s but they still seem a bit light.
My next concern was the pickups. The 112V has Alnico pickups and they seem pretty good to me and its good to have the switchable humbucker which the Strat does not. The overall sound is very bright - Strat-like in fact. I'm not qualified to say exactly how the pickups compare to those on my old Strat - but its close.
So - to summarise. It looks good, its very easy to play and it feels like it has been built to last. Amazing value and well up to the job for an amateur home-player like me.

A great phone with some unique features. Plastic back - who cares?
2 of 2 found this helpful My 7th or 8th smartphone - and the best yet. Easy to set up and use. Large screen with good resolution. Decent processor speed. Very slim. I chose this over iPhone (or S6) because it has (1) Good battery life with very low power mode if needed (2) you can change battery if needed (3) micro SD storage (4) water resistant.
Can't believe people got uptight because the case has a plastic back! Who cares? Its fine. Anyhow mine doesn't because I fitted the Samsung flip-case which replaces the back. Is classy and sturdy and retains the waterproof seal.
I would recommend the S5 to anybody.
Only snag - if you call it that - the phone was originally for Polish market so task number one is to reset language to English. Its easy and I checked with Samsung that the warranty is valid across all EU countries. Its a small inconvenience for such a bargain high-end smartphone.
