Problem still exists
Thank you for sending the module right away. I had to change connectors on it to go into my 1993 Jaguar XJS 4.0L. It is also a newer level than the one I had which I was happy about.
I have been tapping into the wires to look at the signals on a little oscilloscope. I thought that the raw mag pickup signal never failed but I am questioning that now. I have made an extended harness that allows the module to be in the middle of the trunk. The answer is that in very hot weather, which we definitely have now, after several stops at stores it had a momentary problem that lasted about 5 minutes.
I am still working on the problem.
