Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N5110 16GB, Wi-Fi, 8in - Pearl White
23 February 2019
Great screen, Good size. Old but far from obsolete
This model (GT-N5100) was launched around 2013 so it is effectively "old tech" but it is still a capable tablet and one of the few choices available if you want a stylus and a 7" screen on Android. I bought it to replace one I had previously which over-heated when I left it switched on in my bag (silly me). That's how much I like this tablet! It's not generally available and Samsung no longer support it. Be aware that (from the supplier I used at least) it comes with Android v4.2. Many apps now need V4.4 at least, so you will need to update it yourself. Samsung no longer support it.This will mean 'rooting' it so you can install a custom ROM. There are online guides available but if this sort of thing worries you, this may not be the tablet for you. That said, you can run basic calendar, email, notes, to do list, internet browsing etc and it bdoes so very well. Just be aware that some apps won't be optimised for this device and certain one won't install at all, Evernote being a good example.
