Beginners Watercolours
5 of 5 found this helpful I am not an artist and purchased this as a starter for myself. I feel this is a perfect beginners set, it has lots of colors which helps while you're still learning to mix colors- you can use the pre-made ones. They are pigmented enough for me to do some decent paintings. The brush that comes with the set is enough for a beginner, but if you want to paint more it is probably worthwhile to grab a few differently sized brushes when you are getting this set.
The lid can be used for mixing up colors and the whole set is easy to pack up if you want to travel with it.
I would recommend this as a starting point if you want to try out watercolour painting.

Great basics and with some SORTED twists
This book has lots of great basic skills and recipes. It also has all those base recipes (stock, cake mix, ice cream base, cookie mix etc) and teaches you how to customise the recipe with other flavours.
Majority of the recipes are quick and easy for kitchen noobs like myself. They also use lots of stock or standard kitchen ingredients and tools! There are some cool recipes that have a SORTED twist but are still easy to make!
The book is easy to navigate around with the recipes in sections and with the handy index at the end. It is easy to read and has the trademark humour of the SORTED boys!
I would definitely recommend this as a reference for cooking virgins or newbies! Even for those with some more experience in the kitchen, it's great to have on hand to quickly refer to the base recipes when you need them.
