Click Wheel with Flex Ribbon for Apple iPod Classic Black 6th 7th Gen 80 120 160

Good when you get a good one
One thing I learned this month is that if your menu button, play button, or FF/REW buttons stop working when you click them, it's the click wheel that's the problem. It's odd because the click wheel isn't attached to these buttons but apparently the clip on the click wheel controls these buttons somehow. I thought my mainboard died but once I replaced the click wheel, all buttons were working but the middle one. So, I bought another one and now all of the buttons work. Live and learn. :)

For $99, can't go wrong and I can watch videos which is all I wanted.
As expected, the unit came and works well. I'm pulling the HSPA modem out (since the drivers won't run) and replacing it with an mSATA drive to give me an mSata for speed for the OS and a large hard drive for video. Unit has 3 PCI-e slots which gives me Broadcom 970015, Wifi/Bluetooth, and soon an mSATA drive. Runs as you would expect and I managed to get the OS to reinstall using the following link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/how-to-reinstall-windows-on-a-dell-inspiton-mini/11b23703-0365-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5 No problems since. :)

Great little MP3 player
I loved this player, but I upgraded my phone to a PDA phone and use it as an MP3 player. Battery life is excellent (up to 12 hrs. on a 900mAh AAA battery). The blue back lighting is nice to read and lights up without looking too bright. It is treated like a storage card reader which should make it able to be used under other OS's that support USB card readers. Sound quality is fairly good. It can play VBR MP3's but seems to have a problem fast-forwarding and rewinding with them, but then most MP3 players do. The firmware is upgradable to fix minor bugs like the VBR MP3 problem. One plus is the Audible.com book playback. It supports the chapters of the book as well as resuming. When playing back an Audible book and then turning the unit off (or even playing an MP3 after), selecting the Audible book again makes it jump back to where you left off. Plus, it takes Audible format 4 which offers great sound quality as well as taking up about 100MB for a 7 hour Audible book.
