An excellent series in terms of acting, action, and visual quality.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is one of those instances where the blu-ray and standard dvd versions are similarly priced. Fewer blu-ray discs are needed to contain the four movies.
The British are experts in writing, producing, and acting in mysteries. All four films are highly entertaining. The twists and turns keep the audience on their toes, on the edge of their seats.
The visual quality of these films is stunning. The rural locations, the camera work, the sharp detail take on a three-dimensional illusion. One feels more emotionally involved when added high-definition detail draws the viewer into the scene. It's like viewing the real world through an open window.
