Woody Shaw's band was amazing. Everyone was a legend on their instruments. Ronnie Matthew,Junior Cook, Louis Hayes, and Mathew Stafford are legendary players. Sadly they are all gone except Mathew Stafford and Louis Hayes . These are wonderful live recordings that jump out at you with incredible energy. Recorded in 1976. Lucky for Woody Shaws son Woody 3 to have these tapes to release.
