Very good replacement strings for my Mustang Bass
They have smoother feel than roundwounds and produce a nice ringing tone. Best of all the E string seems to have more tension than the flatwound equivalent I was using, so it tunes better and doesn't "flap around" when picked with fingers.

The Big Sky
This movie, directed by Howard Hawks and released in 1951, is a story of exploration and excitement. It is not a typical Western film as the historical setting is 1830s when the American frontier started at St. Louis. Great characters and ensemble acting was a hallmark of Hawk's style. Kirk Douglas, Dewey Martin and Arther Hunnicutt deliver the goods in the acting department.
This movie needs to be restored and presented properly on DVD/Blu Ray. I was fortunate to find a good E-Bay vendor who sells Rental VHS tapes. Video and Audio quality are marginal here, but the movie itself is first-rate. Catch it on the Turner Classic Movie channel when it airs. You'll understand why we love this film.
