Easy reading good storylines.
One of a number of books set in the middle east with a romantic story line and political and wartime conflict. My wife was recovering from an operation and read all her books one after another which is not her normal habit. She considers them excellent reading. I believe The Separation was Jefferies first book but they are all of a good standard.

Quality town review, very well produced.
Quite hard to find book as it is now out of print. It is an extensive study of the town with many maps and pictures and very well produced. Obviously it is most relevant to those who live there. Because of its small print run it has a high resale price but my copy was reasonably priced.

Factual Medicine
A warts and all account of life and death brain surgery. He is a bit pompous which he accounts to his upbringing but it is a surprisingly good read which I found hard to put down. Marsh is very critical of the NAS and longs for former times when he had more clinical freedom. There seems a disproportionate number of failures in the account, or perhaps I am wrong and your chances of survival are pretty small. I will read the follow up Admissions.
