Lexus RX300 OEM Rear Right Door Lock Latch Actuator 99-03 **Lifetime Warranty**
05 October 2016
an inexpensibe fix for broken lock actuators
These folks disassemble the actuator assembly and replace the small motor which burns up and prevents proper locking / unlocking. It's about a 20-30 minute job for a modestly skilled mechanic to remove and replace, and saves $200 or more over a new actuator plus much in installation labor from the dealer. Good rebuild.

Good sine-wave JPS, horribly noisy fan must be replaced for home use
For server room use, great UPS for the money. For any environment requiring low-noise operation, not so good. Eaton, who makes this, uses a cheap fan that runs 24/7 when the unit is plugged in. This is unlike most APC UPS units, whose fan is quiet and runs only when the UPS is on battery and loaded, requiring the fan for cooling. The fan, however, is a 60x60x25mm fan, 12V, and I found a much quieter one online. I had to fit its 3 wires to the non-standard 3-pin connector Eaton uses, which was a bit gimmicky. But the UPS recognized it and runs fine. The quieter fan allows the unit to be serving a workstation in an otherwise quiet living room. Else, my wife would have had me throw it out. Heck, I'd have had me throw it out. So if you can or want to replace the noisy fan, this is a good UPS. Front panel controls are minimal but intuitive. It is easy to start, to silence alarm, to read voltage, watts, etc. And it already kept my system going during an unplanned power outage, just fine; it easily handled the 600+ connected load from my PC and related peripherals.
YONGNUO TTL YN685 Flash Speedlite + YN622N-TX Flash controller for Nikon

Good budget flash for TTL and off-camera use as a radio remote
Based on initial quality, the Youngnuo YN685 is a great alternative to Nikon's SB-5000, at an affordable price. The remote zoom and manual output controls worked well with my D500 and D810, covering 14mm full frame group photos to 200mm DX hummingbirds. Horizontal output flash was always correctly exposed; bounced flash often needed a 1 stop boost. Mount and overall build quality is decent, especially for this price point. I've used this flash thus far in these modes (1) manual remote, on its stand, (2) manual remote, on a light stand, with snap-on diffuser, soft boxes & umbrellas, and (3) TTL on camera. Achieved consistent results once I learned how to set flash, transmitter and camera. You will need to do a bit of trial and error along with trying to read the afterthought of a user manual (supplied), to get the most out of it. I'm going to buy a second one now that I have run one through its paces and a set of AAs. You can get four plus the YN-622N-TX transmitter for less than the cost of one SB-5000 alone.
