Fabulous and captivating voice!
Beverly Kenney recorded only a total of 4 albums back in the late 50’s and early 60’s. “Sings for Johnny Smith” is the best album of the group. Unfortunately, she committed suicide at the young age of 28 in New York City. Her voice was a blend of sexy yet malifulous. Here it is 75 years after her debut and people who are hearing her for the first time currently, are captivated by her voice. I was fortunate that a friend introduced me to her voice when I was a young teen in the late 50’s. I have been a fan ever since. I recently purchased her “Johnny Smith” CD and listen to her in my car whenever I am driving. I never tire of listening to her!
