Forget refills
Genuine cartridges are definitely the way to go, with the following proviso.
My experience of ink refilled cartridges from various suppliers has been universally poor - either they don't work from the off, or the stop printing in a matter of days or weeks.
Where is the cost benefit if a refilled cartridge needs replacing long before the purchase price saving has been recouped?
My only gripe is the cost of genuine cartridges. The plastic case, ink and packaging costs pennies, but the finished product often costs £20.00+
Basically there is no money to be made manufacturing printers - just in selling the ink cartridges!

1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this as an update to replace a 24 year old Drayton programmer that was still working perfectly - and it fits straight onto the old back-plate in seconds.
So now I've got separate control of the heating and hot water times 3 times a day and no resetting of the clock if we get a power cut.
The new programmer even knows when to move the clock forward or back in the Spring and Autumn.
Perfect!
