Great for cereal storage!
I use it to keep cereal in the cupboard (the boxes they come in are too tall for my cupboard) and this fits perfectly. Also, it keeps the cereal from getting stale and the snap top ensures that there aren't any surprise pouring incidences... (like the whole top of the container coming off mid-pour). The whole regular sized box of cereal fits in there with room to spare so I bet a family sized box would fit well (but I haven't tried that).
