I know good established swing orchestration and sonic reproduction. I know good songwriting and production... this cd fails on all fronts. sorry

2 of 2 found this helpful High frequency sounds: the audio was painful, shrill, garbled, distorted. Just awful. The basically warm mid-range that Sony is famous for was fine. Bass tone is almost totally nonexistent! The joke-of-a-bass-boost-switch should be labeled "bass-subtract" when the switch is turned off! CD playback is my most important use of this product, so if any of the other functions work satisfactorily ( FM/AM, Bluetooth, etc) they're pluses. This unit's price varies wildly; The highest retail price out there can be $118.95. The Lowest eBay price for an open-stock purchase is like $30. At the lower price, it's a steal, at $118.95 not so much. I'd give it 2.5 stars overall anyway. To me: sound is everything.
