Escape HD5 Action Camera

Good underwater camera for the price.

Bought this camera to take snorkelling photos on holiday. Haven’t printed the photos yet so not too sure of the exact quality (I’m not holding my breath given the resolution is only 1.3megapixels) but so far the pictures look pretty good on preview. The camera took 24hours to charge the first time we opened it but after that battery lasted long enough to get plenty of underwater videos/ photos. Camera worked underwater just fine. It’s pretty easy to figure out how to use as well. There are only 4buttons and You can figure out what each one does quite easily/quickly if you’re familiar with using a digital camera. The only criticism I have is that the viewfinder on the camera is VERY small and very difficult to view it underwater. so I just ended up rapidly pointing and clicking the camera at anything I wanted a photo of and hoped that it captured the shot I wanted. Thankfully my startegy worked. Overall, Given the price I am pretty satisfied with the results and the camera. I’m not sure how many more trips the camera would last but it’s definitely served its purpose and saved me a lot of money on getting a proper GoPro underwater camera.
