CARVIN B1000 LIGHTWEIGHT MONO BLOCK 900W BASS AMP HEAD w/ 12AX7 PREAMP TUBE NEW
18 September 2016
Mini-Max Carvin
A lot of punch in a very very small 8 pound package. Been using mine a year with no issues. Used to run a single 15" Commonwealth 8 ohm driver in a vintage Kustom tuck and roll cab but upgraded to the Carvin 1-15H and 2-10H cabs running a 2 ohm load. Personally I think the wattage is overrated on the new amps as an old vintage 400 watt head had as much power as these but the sound quality and portability is great. I'm too old to haul the big heavy stuff anymore so it works fine for my needs.
Pyle PSN1165 4.35" Square Dispersion Horn Piezo Tweeter (pair)
12 January 2016
Today's Piezo tweeters in general
Typically at least Pyle horn drivers are a pretty good buy for the value and money. However, I find that 90 percent of the piezo horn tweeters made today are junk. That is why I kept a dozen Motorola horns from the 70's when they were USA made.
Ampeg Ampeg Rocket Bass RB-110 1x10 50W Bass Combo Amp Black and Silver
06 May 2021
Another Ampeg in my bass rigs.
This is a great practice and small gigging amp for the price range. Built well as only to be expected by Ampeg. To be honest though, I think my Fender Rumble 40 has better tone with same size speaker and lighter in weight for a lesser price. I love the option of having both amps because I keep one at church and one in the spare bedroom for private quiet practice as both have that feature..not to take away from this Ampeg at all, I love the looks of the checkered tolex and color better than the silvery Fender grill. Another Great amp added to my other two Ampeg, Hartke and Fender rigs.
