Does the job - just watch out for that default power-on state.
I took a chance buying such a cheap unit and was surprised by how good it is for the price. Even the supplied test leads are good quality and quite useable. The menu is clear and easily navigated - it's not as immediate as the panel of a good-quality generator, but it's not hard to use - just don't turn the encoder too fast; it will skip values easily. Also, make sure that you disconnect the leads before powering on each time - the default powerup state is a 10V sine wave! Waves and pulses look good on my scope and sweeps are easy to set up as linear or log.
