This is a wonderful book & one of my all-time favorites
I first read the Little House books when I was in 3rd grade. Now I am homeschooling my daughter and am thrilled to be able to introduce her to my childhood friends. She loves the series as much as I did, and I find that I am still drawn into the story of Laura and her family's adventures. We recently visited a museum and my daughter kept commenting that the wagon, churn, clothing, etc. were "Just like Laura's!". This book has a wonderful way of bringing history to life, putting a face on the pioneers, and engaging the imagination. I highly recommend "On The Banks Of Plum Creek" and all of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.

Great book for hands-on learning.
I bought this book for use in our homeschool. It has been a wonderful resource for hands-on learning and understanding math concepts. I thought I could use it without the teacher's manual, but discovered I needed the teachers guide to help me guide my daughter through the activities. I love cuisenaire rods!!!
