Arrived quickly and in great condition
Product arrived as described. Although the book gives some explanation for the different calendars used throughout history, the majority of this book is comprised of a list of calendar comparisons beginning from Babylonian times, and in some instances, up to the future western calendar year 2205. It is easy to compare the western year, to the corresponding Hebrew year for example, (Julian, Gregorian, Coptic, Arabic are other examples of calendar years provided in this book. It seems a very useful book for research.

Very thorough, much more technical,-yet easy to understand- than I expected for a "holistic" midwifery book.
The book is over a thousand pages of very useful information. I love the intelligence that underlines the holistic aspect. She includes detailed descriptions of pelvic exams, what to look for, how to take measurements in centimeters, using your fingers, and so, so much more. She uses medical terminology in a clear, concise way to describe just about everything. There are some black and white illustrations to go along with instructions in many cases. She provides references, so you can do your own research.
The Anatomy and Physiology sections go into detail about the body's systems. Great information about hormones, how they work, etc. I believe this book can help empower women, by teaching about how the female body works in birthing. I can see referencing this book for years to come. Anne Frye's book demystifies the child-birthing process and also addresses emotional issues that may come up as well. "Comprehensive" is a most apt word for describing this book. Would recommend.
