hard as a rock
This leaked worse then the leaky seal i replaced. So bad i had to run to a local transmission place who sold me one that wasnt hard as a rock.

best semi secret deal ever
2 of 2 found this helpful I have owned this lens for over 25 years. I finally sold mine to buy a mint nikon 28 to 70 2.8
The 28 to 70 sharp , versitile..and HUGE and Heavy. Simply too big for many events.
I ended up buying another one of these 35 to 70s. And I never find myself wishing I had 28mm over 35. Just step backward.
These lenses are durable light tack sharp , fast and a fantastic deal. Must have.
