He records the life and times of fellow Londoner , the world famous, highly influential film director Alfred Hitchcock. All you need to appreciate and understand how and why AH was the way he was and why he made the films he did.

Nothing To Hear Here !

Well, as a lad growing up in early 70’s and a fan of ‘underground ‘ or ‘progressive ‘ music and was aware of this band but never seen or heard this lot. So throwing caution and my hard earned cash, I purchased this anthology. For lovers of Byzantium this is a first class collection with original covers, artwork and a very informative booklet. However for those new to the band such as I , this set of CD’s point up why they never never made a mark in the record buying and listening public. Essentially having listened again and again to all the disc’s in this set there is absolutely nothing that is memorable. Influences are obviously CSNY, soft country rock, et al but unlike CSNY, these guys could not write a catchy memorable song if their lives depended on it ? Well produced, good audio quality but ultimately dull MOR fare and forgettable mid 70 ‘s rock. Nothing to see here
