Dungeons And Dragons RPG: Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos
18 June 2020
Bring Cthulhu and the mythos to your 5e campaign!
If you like the Cthulhu mythos and the D&D 5e system, even if you just use a few crossovers, this book is brilliant: the artwork is astounding and the scope opens completely new vistas for frpgs. Well worth buying.

be wary this is tagged HP LOVECRAFT and it isn't really
The Tomb is deliberatly sold tagged with HP Lovecraft's name over the title. I've not actually watched the film yet but it looks nothing like any story the illustrious horror writer penned. I fear the worst - marketing hype. I wouldn't seriously buy this if you were a Cthulhu collector (unless you were in the money!), but if you're just after a horror film give it a go.

A part of the excellent MythagoWood Series
The late Robert Holdstock was probably better known for his uniquely British fantasy fiction especially the Mythago Wood Series as well as the interesting Merlin Codex trilogy. He was also an editor for sci-fi/fantasy artwork books. The Mythago wood series is in the process of being rebranded so that the reader can follow the stories in order - it is confusing ploughing your way through and discovering another MW story. There are no fixed timelines but it would be good for the publsiher to present the work in a consistent manner. This book has beautiful artwork on the dustcover. The reason I bought it in hardback is that my paperback has been read so often it is falling apart! This has permanance. All in all a great book that has been used a little, and will continue to be read for a long time to come. I am just saddened by the fact that Holdstock will no longer be penning future MW stories.
