Bright sound but no finger "squeak"
These are my favourite strings for my Ibanez semi.
They are a "half-way house" between flat-wound and round-wound.
They feel flat, so no finger noise, but still sound bright on the lower strings rather than dark like flat-wounds.
They are stainless steel, but not silky to the touch like chromes or round-wounds, so the feel takes a little bit to get used to.
But I love them for jazz or general pop/rock.

Great little unit
This is perfect for what I needed.
My son is using it whilst drumming to boost the level of the click track in his monitor headphones.
I have used it for listening to music and it seems to be giving a nice flat response across the frequency range.
The high boost switch gives an extra 6dB, which is more than plenty to be able to hear above the sound of a full acoustic drum kit.
