LG Optimus - an incredibly reasonable Android phone
I bought this phone because I quite fancied the whole smartphone/apps thing. You can upgrade the optimus (for free, it only takes about 5 mins) to run the system 2.1 (Good enough for all versions of Angry Birds!).
It is easy to use, durable, and responds to touch not heat - making it far easier to type.
