Great children's literature
Hits the mark with children readers. It's popularity attests to this. Parents would have no concerns about the appropriateness of the content. Outstanding Australian children's literature.

He lived to tell the story
This self published book is all the author says it would be with misspellings and inventive grammar aplenty! However, with dry humour 'Billy" recounts his horrific experiences as a teenaged prisoner of war of the Japanese army of WW2.
This is a wonderful historical document that provides a unique insight into the experience of thousands of allied soldiers who became POWs. Not only has Bill Young lived long enough to write this retrospective account, but although admittedly afflicted with his own set of demons from his ordeal, survived well enough to apply his undoubted intellect and raw untutored literary style to a work which gives following generations a powerful experience of the events he endured.
Although a sobering and serious story, Bill's humour is ever present, providing Milliganesque relief from the dark events portrayed.
The work presents many layers of value for the student of life.
