It lives up to the promises made
I have been a watcher of the NCIS series for some time and it is fascinating to watch how they treat their cases and how the forensics done by Abby in her laboratory often lead the team in the right direction to solving the case. You learn sippets about the characters outside the NCIS offices and learn a little more about their 'real' characters and watching how they react towards one another rounds out the story often with surprising results. I will be a committed viewer of this series for some time to come and re-watching some of the older series is like meeting old friends again.

Children's stories, taking them on an excursion into something new as well as old loved favourites.
Because the books are written in clear, concise English language suitable for the 4 to 5 year old children that I am dealing with and well produced coloured pictures which the children will love, illustrating the page that you have just read to them, so that a vibrant discussion can follow the reading at any stage when the children have questions or I am asking questions to gauge their understanding about what is being told in the story.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum
The preview to the main show I found to be very interesting. I hadn't seen some of these news clips before and others brought back fond memories. I didn't realise that some of the action took place like LBJ's visit to Australia in 1966. I was away from Sydney at the time working and so missed a lot of what went on in my old stamping ground.
I enjoyed the main story, I knew most of the actors who performed their respective parts really well and some out of their usual type of roles, whilst for others it must have been a leg up in the world of show business as they were just starting out on the long road to stardom.
Altogether I sat back and enjoyed every minute of the performance, the comedy was not overdone slapstick like many shows degenerate into, and some sequences took a quite unexpected turn which kept the viewer quite intrigued. I shall watch this DVD on many occasions in the future. One cannot retire at the end of a day worn out, harassed by the day's happenings, watch this spectacle, and go to bed in any but a light-hearted and happy mood.
