nuvi255 map update
Worked like a charm.
plugged in, no need to install to device, it runs from the card just fine on my nuvi255

High quality and easy to use Jump Starter
Some Good Points:
• Its relatively cheap @ $79
• More compact than others. (the unit is more compact but the carry case is bigger, so it is actually far easier to pack all the bits back in the case.
• It’s in Australia. Mine shipped in 3 days!!!!.
• Better made – build quality – nice finish, fire resistant material enclosure.
• The wall charger has an Australian plug (no adapter required).
• Safer – it has a larger jumper cable with a module in it that apparently will protect against shorting them together (a big fuse???), as well as reverse polarity and to stop the car from charging the jump start pack. There is a boost button to let you top up the car battery if it is really low before tryin to jump start.
• Has dedicated 12v and 19V DC outputs for laptop charging with various included plugs – far simpler to use than my previous version.
• It claims 55WH which is just under the limit for airline carry on in Oz. I will test this to confirm but am confident it will do well.
• It just looks and feels better all round, and is more user friendly and forgiving of errors.

Receiver front end could be a little more selective (adjacent channel rejection) but it really performs amazingly well for the price. The antennas and mic are also excellent performers - top combo. It ran for 2-3 days with light use without charging. So good, i have 3 of them. The mic cable needs a little bit of plastic shaving to fit in properly (depends on your mic). hard to beat.
