"The Histories" By Herodotus
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a very good book for anyone with an interest in ancient Greece and mythology. the story is told by a man named Herodotus, who tells us the story of The Persian Wars and ancient Greek culture. It has been translated many times over many years, but this version is one of my favorites. It can be sort of tricky reading this if you are not used to pronouncing Greek names, but overall I highly recommend this book. It's educational, and entertaining!

Alexander
1 of 1 found this helpful I Like the history behind this movie, more than the movie it self. They made Alexander seem "not so great"! And I hate to ruin it for anyone, but you see Collin Ferrels Hanging Brain scrotum! That might be a selling point for some folks...but I didn't see that one coming, and after it happened, I wish it hadn't. Angelina Jolie is awsome, but when isn't she?
(Adopt me Anelina, baby needs a new pair of shoes!)
Is there an upside besides Ms. Jolie? Yes. There is some batteling with swords, spears, and shields, some blood splatter, Ferrel dies,Jared Leto dies, and Rosario Dawson is pretty damn sexy!
Overall:
You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and then you have "Alexander". Hail Sparta!
