Craig Finn: Clear Heart Full Eyes [Digipak] CD

The Best Craig Finn!

This album is so incredible and magical, in a different league than Finn's subsequent solo works. The "band" and production is so spare and perfect, especially Ricky Ray Jackson's pedal steel, which seems to haunt every song and echo Craig's words and animate his stories. The words and stories have a raw power that is never obscured by the noisy overproduction sometimes found on Finn's other albums. I'm over 60, I have a huge record collection spanning many years and genres, and this is one of my favorite albums of all time. Seriously.
