Upgrading from an i9 9900K
1 of 1 found this helpful I couldn't really justify upgrading from a 9900k unless it was worth the core count. The Intel i9 always did run a little hot, and even with an Corsair AIO. This 5950x has actually been dipping below 90c rather often while the i9 would jump passed 90c rather often. The same tasks have the temps sit at about the same, but I do notice that when I hammer the i9 the cores trade off the work within Windows 10, meanwhile the same tasks hammer ALL of the 5950X cores at the same time.
Regardless, the end results allow me more than enough speed to continue my work while background tasks burn away.
