One Ranger: A Memoir (Bridwell Texas History Series)

Great read on a local hero

This book is an excellent career recap for a well known and universally beloved Texas Ranger. Ranger Jackson's loyalty to the organization and his love for his captain are moving sub plots. Along with his family stories and summary of some major cases, this is a biography that reads like fiction, however, his story is true. I highly recommend this book as it shows even Texas Rangers deal with life, as we all do.
