Perfect for audio enthusiasts. Digidesign PCI-X hardware functions on this board.

This is the best motherboard you can buy with 4 "true" legacy PCI expansion slots. All legacy audio cards will work on this motherboard. The Avid/Digidesign core/accel PCI-X cards will fit on this motherboard and the extra part of the pci-x connector hangs off the end of the slot. Luckily this motherboard does not have any heatsinks in the way of the overhang so you can run a Pro Tools HD4 TDM PCI-X rig with an i7 3770! Not only that, you can run OSX86 up to Mavericks and Pro Tools 10 HD WILL WORK on OSX with this motherboard......as an HD4!. I built two of these rigs, one on a JNAF92 + i5 2400 and one on a JNAF93 + i7 3770 and they both dual boot OSX Mountain Lion and Windows 7 and Pro Tools HD 10 works flawlessly on either boot partition. Everything passes digitest and Apogees (ad16x/da16x) are flawless in advanced routing mode. If you are into building computers and have patience, you could build a very relevant "legacy" dream rig for a low low price. Digi 192s are stupid cheap, pcix cards are dirt cheap, and the latency and processing is too good to pass up for the price. Only drawback is you are stuck on Pro Tools version 7-10.
