Well this is a blast from the past. Not a fighting fantasy book, not full dungeons and dragons - a mix of the two - making it an ideal game companion. And it's nostalgic too. The story and background is great - the game mechanics easy to remember and implement. It also includes a one person FF-esque adventure as a bonus. This is getting quite scarce now, so if you remember it from the 80s it's worth getting. It's worth getting even if you don't as a piece of compelling adventure creator literature.
